Abacus was a welcome addition to its Little Portugal neighbourhood. It features a beautiful inverted stepped facade that cantilevers out toward the street and then back in again toward the top of the building. It fits nicely into that particular neighborhood, giving a modern touch without being out of place. Abacus was the company’s first condominium building and while it generated controversy among other developers, it allowed us to prioritize design over maximizing floor area.
